Welcome to The Meal Planning Family!  I'm so glad you stopped by.

Why did I create The Meal Planning Family?  As a mom I realized that probably three fourths of my day is spent around thinking, creating, or cleaning up food!  

Sometimes the entire process if overwhelming.  We can't always manage our meals on what or how we are feeling because then, let's be real, we'd be eating chocolate and ice cream every night with some take out thrown in every once in awhile!

It's time to come together and share ideas to make meal time less stressful and more manageable.  

When I got married at age 20, I'm pretty sure we lived on Hamburger Helper and twinkies.  I had a mother who made all my meals, so I never learned how to properly prepare food myself.  I was a frequent shopper in the prepackaged, boxed food aisle. 

In 2009 my new meal planning life began.  After battling terrible migraines, it was made clear I needed to be gluten free.  The way I approached meal time was forever changed. Little did I know that God was preparing me for my future as a family with a tree nut allergy and many other food sensitivities.

I hope this page can inspire you to evaluate how you plan your meals and prepare your food.  I also hope it can bring joy back into the kitchen if you've been diagnosed with an allergy or food sensitivity.
